The IRISTM Surveillance Video Camera... Sends Live Colour Video To A Mobile Phone.
Surveillance Video Camera/Fonetechnology IRISTM.
Fonetechnology has announced the launch of the IRISTM camera, a network-independent, wireless stand-alone colour camera that sends live video to a mobile phone. It is the first wireless remote video surveillance camera that is not web based.
It enables users to connect live to the IRIS colour camera from their mobile phone without the requirement for broadband, a PC, an Internet account, routers or any technical knowledge!
In addition, this remote monitoring system does not require a 3G phone, making it available to regular 2.5G GPRS handsets users.
The IRIS surveillance video camera uses an integrated standard GPRS sim card, making easy to set up and use. The system is very powerful and since it is separate to a broadband or IP network link, it will continue to operate even in the event of these going down.
Uses & Possibilities
The IRIS camera is ideal for home or office security, as it enables remote monitoring of empty buildings. It also offers applications in the entertainment market, such as multimedia content e.g. live entertainment, live sports, live news feeds and live travel information to be viewed on the IRIS viewing software.
Typical applications include keeping an eye on your home, children and pets, or monitoring streamed video of valuable property such as an office, shop, second home, car or boat. As the system uses GSM networks, it can even be used inside your vehicle or a fleet of vehicles.
How Does It Work?
The IRISTM surveillance video cameras are able to transmit live or recorded video to your mobile phone over a standard mobile phone network.
When you want to access remote monitoring of your camera, you just use the Iris viewing software on your mobile phone, to connect to your camera via the Iris Control Centre.
There are no phone numbers to remember. With just a couple of clicks on your mobile phone you'll be able to view the live video feed from your IRIS wireless camera.
In addition to monitoring streamed video from IRIS cameras, you can also view video from a number of other video inputs, including broadband cameras, CCTV, pre-recorded clips, live TV feeds and a home hub control.
In alarm mode, the IRIS surveillance video camera is continually monitoring for movement through its infrared and motion sensors. If movement is detected, the camera will automatically upload video of the event to a secure server. The user is then alerted of the activation via SMS and can view the recording on their mobile phone and take the appropriate action.
This remote monitoring system uses police approved security checks, including a secure pin code access and allows from one to thousands of mobile phone users to dial simultaneously into the same IRISTM camera.
All Iris products include data security over wireless by means of a combination of encryption, hardware encoding, software PIN encoding, number rejection and content trace ability, to ensure the user's security and peace of mind.
